Lagos, Nigeria — Preparations are underway for the inaugural edition of the 911 Community League 2025, a football tournament designed to foster unity, empower young people, and promote community development through sport.
The tournament is being hosted by Balogun Ajibola 911, in partnership with Hon. Sholola Oluwole (Okito) and in collaboration with the Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area.

Set to begin on October 1, 2025, the competition will feature 10 teams in what organisers describe as a landmark sporting event for the community.

According to the organisers, the league is structured not only as a competition but also as a platform for talent discovery, with a transfer window to recognise and reward players’ contributions.
“The 911 Community League is more than a game; it’s a movement,” said Balogun Ajibola 911. “It’s about community, growth, and giving our youth the chance to dream bigger through football.”
Spectators are promised an exciting and competitive atmosphere, as teams vie for victory while also promoting a common goal of unity, progress, and community pride.
Organisers say the initiative highlights the transformative power of sports in building bridges, strengthening communal ties, and inspiring the next generation of leaders and athletes.
The event is expected to draw wide participation from across Ifako-Ijaiye and beyond.
